MURILLO DE ARAGÃO, Ph.Dceo
Murillo de Aragão is a lawyer, journalist, professor, political scientist and CEO of Arko Advice and founding partner of the Murillo de Aragão Law Firm.
He has a law degree from the Law School of the Federal District (UniCEUB), a master's degree in Political Science from the University of Brasilia and a PhD in Sociology (with a concentration in Latin American Studies) from Ceppac - University of Brasilia.
Between 1992 and 1997 he was an associate researcher at the Social Science Research Council (New York). He was a member of the board of the International Federation of the Periodical Press (London) between 1988 and 2002. He was a CAPES researcher when he obtained a doctorate from CEPAC / UnB.
He is a member of the Brazilian Political Science Association, the American Political Science Association, the International Political Science Association, the Brazilian Bar Association (Federal District) and IBRADE - Brazilian Institute of Electoral Law.
He was a member of the Economic and Social Development Council of the Presidency of the Republic (2007 - 2018). As a member of the Board, he was head of the body's delegations on Russia, BRICS and the European Union.
As a lecturer and political analyst, Murillo de Aragão has delivered more than two hundred lectures in the last 20 years in New York, Miami, London, Edinburgh, San Francisco, San Diego, Lisbon, Washington, Boston, Porto, Buenos Aires, Santiago , Lima, Guatemala City, Madrid, Stockholm, Milan, Rome, Amsterdam, Oslo, Paris, among others, for foreign investors on Brazil’s political and economic climate.
Aragão taught courses on "Political Behavior" and "Political Process and Legislation" in the Department of Political Science of the University of Brasilia. He was a visiting professor at the Universidad Austral in Buenos Aires and a consultant at the World Bank.
In 2017, he was invited to be an adjunct professor at Columbia University (New York) where he teaches a course on the "Brazilian Political System".
He has written the following books: Pressure Groups in the National Congress (Maltese, 1992), Political Reform - The Unavoidable Debate (Civilização Brasileira, 2014) and Stop the Presses (Sulina, 2017). He is a columnist for Isto É magazine and O Estado de São Paulo newspaper.

VP and Chief Operating Officer of Arko Advice. He is also a partner of the company since 1999. Cristiano holds a B.A in Business and an M.A in Political Science from the University of Brasília (UNB). He has lectured in Brazil, Europe and United States about the Brazilian political environment.
Noronha is an expert in regulatory risk analysis and legislative affairs and is the editor of “Política Brasileira”, Arko’s weekly political analysis newsletter, subscribed by hundreds of private companies and banks around the globe.
Cristiano Noronha is a regular commentator at national and international news agencies, including Globo, Reuters and Associated Press.
THIAGO DE ARAGÃOdirector
Partner and director of intelligence at Arko Advice. He holds a B.A in sociology and is responsible for designing institutional strategies to dozens of the largest corporations operating in Brazil and Latin America.
He is a member of the Council of the Leaders of the Future (Brazil), a Research Associate at the Foreign Policy Centre (London) and a Research Associate at the Institut de Relations Internationales et Strategiques (Paris).
Thiago is a regular columnist at one of the main Brazilian news group: Agencia Estado de São Paulo.
Thiago has made presentations about the Brazilian and Latin American political environment in over a dozen countries and universities in the United States, Canada, Europe and China.
LUCAS DE ARAGÃOdirector
Partner and director of communication at Arko Advice. He holds a B.A in Political Science from UDF and an M.A in Elections and Campaign Management from Fordham University. He is a four time winner of the prestigious Pollie Awards, given yearly by the American Association of Political Consultants to be best political strategists in the world.
He is the Author of “Regulation of Lobbying in Brazil”, published by WIley Blackwell in the Latin American Policy journal.
Lucas has given dozens of lectures regarding the Brazilian political scenario. In 2015 Lucas spoke at the IMF/World Bank Forum in Lima, Peru. He is a regular lecturer in British-Brazilian institutions, including the Brazilian – UK Chamber of Commerce and Canning House.
Director of Arko Advice, Michael Lopez holds a B.A in Political Science and Literature from the University of Pennsylvania. Former editor and columnist of the Sound Politics Journal of Political Science.
